In the EBS console under the security tab there is a check for the Update services which seem to me as if it's not that easy to get it to turn green, but mostly is at a red warning level which makes the top "security" tab apear red also.

Therefore I tried to find out what's the secret about getting it green and these are the rules that make it green or if one of them is not ok turn red:

Getting updates green:

·         All client languages are detected and added to the policy (automatic)

·         Classification of updates in policy (critical, definitions, security, service packs)

·         No updates have failed to install

·         No computers pending reboot

·         No computers “not contacted”
